@lynnesbian you know when you start up a PS2 and it's like all of creation is at peace?

@lynnesbian honestly one of the best games I've ever played was Phantom Crash for the Xbox. I might be the only person who did but it's probably my favorite mech combat game still to this day.

@ben
:blobcatuwu: the original version
:blobcatfearful: the new version where the guy turns his head toward you and its really creepy

@lynnesbian @ben the Half Life 1 one was more relaxing though :)

makes me wonder if there was a theme music in Counter-Strike before 1.6 came along... I think there was some.
@lynnesbian @ben Like I just found out that the Half Life OST was composed by Kelly Bailey, who also produced the soundtrack, did all the audio signal processing and programming of the audio engine (including the modeling of room reverbs, etc) and all of this interactively in the game. The year was 1998.

@ng0 @ben @lynnesbian the 90's were a time when one guy did >35% of the game and Bob from accounting did the voice acting for 7 different characters.

@ng0 I'm on my phone which makes doing fancy text formatting stuff very difficult

@lynnesbian
omfg the sound on that second screen still makes my spine tingle I love it ♥️

@lynnesbian
That's my alarm tone. I wake up to it every morning. :3

@lynnesbian When you had that one game that was scratched up but would play just sometimes and you held your breath during this ritual in hopes that it would get past this screen

@lynnesbian Just praying to the 90's CD drive gods that you'd one again get to Enter the World of Survival Horror

@inkblot_sandwiches @lynnesbian
I had one that would only load if I held the playstation upside down.

@lynnesbian you know when you start a Sierra game and it's all like

ᵇʷᵉᵉʰʰʰʰʰʰʰ ᵈᵘⁿᵘⁿᵘⁿnununuɴᴜɴᴜɴᴜɴNUNUNUNUUUUUU!! .... ⛰️ dun, dun dun dun. ⛰️ (ᵈᶦⁿᵍ, ᵈᶦⁿᵍ. ✨)
